Based in northern Finland, Partones is engaged in processing natural fibres to develop alternative materials for instrument builders. The underlying idea is that we do not need to lose the tradition of the craft nor compromise on the quality of materials even if at some point we are no longer able to use the original, now endangered materials.

"Studying the acoustic responses measured has also allowed conclusions to be made about what kind of sound field leads to a specific kind of observation by listeners. This translates into a better understanding of what kind of architecture supports music best and, above all, conveys the orchestra’s performance of the music to the audience in the best possible way."
