Pianist Iiro Rantala's new trio has already been called the Super Trio, and with stateside dweller Peter Erskine on drums, in addition to Swede Lars Danielsson on bass, the claim seems reasonable.

Iiro Rantala led Finland’s most popular jazz combo for almost two decades. Trio Töykeät is history, but the pianist’s solo album Lost Heroes gave his career a new boost.
