The jouhikko broadening its field

22 His skills on the instrument are impressive, as is his extremely broad musical mindset. In his trio he teams up with Nathan Riki Thomson on bass and Mikko Hassinen on drums and electronics. The result is cool and crazy. It swims wildly in the ocean of music without caring too much about genres and expectations. The main focus is really on strong emotion, from the explosively wild “Rutto” to the peaceful “Nukkuneille”.
